With the Replica Rotonde De Cartier Second Time Zone Day/Night, Cartier launches a collection of men’s small complication models that combines a second time-zone, a day/night indication, a large date and small seconds.
Showcased at the Watches & Wonders 2014 event in Honk Kong, the top version of the line features a blue guilloché dial in a white gold case.
In the typical Cartier style, the dial has Roman numerals with apple-shaped hands, a “rail-track” minute circle, and the winding crown set with a sapphire cabochon.
A retrograde scale from one to 12 indicates the hours of the second time zone, while day or night is shown in the aperture at 4 o’clock. To adjust the second time zone by one hour steps, it is sufficient to push the crown.
The large date at 12 o’clock visually balances the small seconds sub-dial.
The 42 mm round case houses the new 1904-FU MC Calibre, an automatic movement which has been developed over a period of several years at the Cartier Manufacture in La Chaux-de-Fonds. For the first time in Cartier replica watchmaking, this movement groups together the setting of all its complications in one single push-piece.
The cheap Replica Rotonde De Cartier Second Time Zone Day/Night watches is available also in stainless steel or pink gold both with a silvered flinqué dial.
Prices start at US$ 9,650 for the steel version up to US$ 26,000 and US$ 27,800 for the pink gold and white gold versions, respectively. The white gold version is a limited edition of 200 pieces.
